Hyundai Santa Cruz: Front Bumper / Front Bumper Assembly

1. Front bumper assembly


- Replacement

   

• When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.

• Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.

   

• Take care not to bend or scratch the bumper cover and panels.

1.Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

2.Remove the fender garnish.(Refer to Body Side Molding - "Fender Garnish")

3.Loosen the front bumper upper mounting bolts and clips.

Tightening torque :Bolt : 3.5 - 5.7 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.6 - 4.2 lb-ft)

4.Loosen the front bumper lower mounting bolts.

5.Loosen the mounting clis and screws on the side of front bumper (A), detach the side part of front bumper.

   

• When you pull out the front bumper, the side part of the front bumper could be damaged by the projection.

Tightening torque :Screw : 3.5 - 5.7 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.6 - 4.2 lb-ft)

6.Disconnect the front bumper main connector (A).

7.Remove the front bumper assembly (A).

8.To install, reverse removal procedure.

   

• Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.

• Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
