- Lift and Support Points [Two-Post Car Lift]
1.Place the lift blocks under the support points as shown in the illustration.
2.Raise the hoist a few inches (centimeters) and rock the vehicle to be sure it is firmly supported.
3.Raise the hoist to full height to inspect the lift points for secure support.
• Do not jack up about 180mm (7.1 in.) from the edge of S/SILL MLD's.
• Place the support within 45mm (1.7in.) from the back or forth of jack up notch.
[Four-Post Car Lift]
1.Position the lift aligned with the side seal of the vehicle bottom.
2.Raise the hoist to full height to check whether the vehicle is firmly supported.
[Scissor Car Lift]
1.Place the vehicle on the lower side of the lift body.
• When raising the vehicle with a scissor car lift to service the bottom of the vehicle, check the vehicle bottom and make sure not to damage the floor under cover, fuel tank, fuel filter and canister. Also, use a rubber support or stanchion on the side seal of the vehicle body.
2.Raise the hoist a few inches (centimeters) and rock the vehicle to be sure it is firmly supported.
3.Raise the hoist to full height to inspect the lift points for secure support.
