Hyundai Santa Cruz: Cooling System / Dual Clutch Transmission Lubricant / Cooling Oil

- Components and Components Location

1. Drain plug
2. Drain plug gasket
3. Filler plug gasket
4. Filler plug

• In order to reduce the height deviation of oil according to temperature, check at 20 to 30 degrees.

• When checking the oil, to maintain level.

• Be careful not to damage the parts located under the vehicle (floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank and canister) when raising the vehicle using the lift.(Refer to General Information - "Lift and Support Points")

1.After connecting the diagnostic tool, wait in the additional function screen.

2.Up lift the vehicle.

3.Remove the engine room under cover.(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Room Under Cover")

4.Loosen the oil filler plug (A) and then removing the gasket (B) at the same time.

5.After draining the oil completely, check the correct oil quantity.

(1)Remove the drain plug (A) and wait 1 minute for some oil to drain.

(2)Run the HF EOP forced driving menu, an additional feature of the diagnostic unit, for 30 seconds, then stop.

• When driving the HF EOP for 30 seconds or more in the state of being drained, there is a possibility of bearing damage.

(3)Install the drain plug (A) together with the new gasket (B).

Tightening torque:44.1 - 58.8 N.m (4.5 - 6.0 kgf.m, 32.5 - 43.4 lb-ft)

• If reinstall the drain plug, replace the gasket (A) with a new one.

(4)After checking the oil level, injection the specified oil to the filler hole (A).

Specification : GS WDCTF HD G (WET DCT FLUID)Normal drain volume : 2.7 - 2.8 ℓ (0.71 - 0.74 U.S gal., 2.85 - 2.96 U.S.qt., 2.38 - 2.46 Imp.qt.)

(5)Install the oil filler plug (A) with a new gasket (B).

Tightening torque:58.8 - 78.4 N.m(6.0 - 8.0 kgf.m, 43.3 - 57.8 lb-ft)

• If reinstall the drain plug, replace the gasket (A) with a new one.

• When replace the oil, to maintain level.

• Be careful not to damage the parts located under the vehicle (floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank and canister) when raising the vehicle using the lift.(Refer to General Information - "Lift and Support Points")

1.Up lift the vehicle.

2.Remove the engine room under cover (A).(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Room Under Cover")

3.Loosen the oil drain plug (A) and drain the oil, then install the drain plug with a new gasket (B).

Tightening torque :44.1 - 58.8 N.m (4.5 - 6.0 kgf.m, 32.5 - 43.4 lb-ft)

• If reinstall the drain plug, replace the gasket (A) with a new one.

4.After draining the oil completely, check the correct oil quantity.

Specification:GS WDCTF HD G (WET DCT FLUID)Quanlity: 2.7 - 2.8 ℓ (0.71 - 0.74 U.S gal., 2.85 - 2.96 U.S.qt., 2.38 - 2.46 Imp.qt.)

5.Install the oil filler pulg (A) and gasket (B) with a new one.

Tightening torque :58.8 - 78.4 N.m (6.0 - 8.0 kgf.m, 43.3 - 57.8 lb-ft)

• If reinstall the drain plug, replace the gasket (A) with a new one.

6.Install the engine room under cover (A).(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Room Under Cover")
