Hyundai Santa Cruz: Fuel Delivery System / Fuel Line

- Removal Low Pressure Fuel Line [Low Pressure Delivery Pipe ↔ Fuel Tank]

1.Release the residual pressure in fuel line.(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "Release Residual Pressure in Fuel Line")

2.Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

3.Remove the engine cover.(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Cover")

4.Remove the air cleaner assembly.(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")

5.Remove the battery.(Refer to Engine Electrical System - " Battery")

6.Disconnect the fuel feed quick-connector (A).

   

• Open the clamp cover (A) before disconnect the quick connector. (If the clip is applied)

   

• When removing the quick-connnector with the clip removing tool (A), be careful not to damage the plastic clip (B).

• If the clip is damaged, fuel line leak can be occurred due to a bad connection.

7.Disconnect the vapor quick-connector (A) from the purge control solenoid valve.

8.Open the vapor tube and fuel feed line fixing clip (A) to using driver.

9.Lift the vehicle.

10.Remove the fuel tank.(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "Fuel Tank")

11.Disconnect the vapor hose quick-connector (A) from the canister.

12.Remove the vapor hose and fuel feed line protector (A).

Tightening torque :7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.6 lb-ft)

13.Release the fixing clip (A) of the vapor and fuel feed tube line using a driver.

14.Remove the fuel line from the bottom of the vehicle.

High Pressure Fuel Pipe [High Pressure Fuel Pump ↔ High Pressure Delivery Pipe]

1.Release the residual pressure in fuel line.(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "Release Residual Pressure in Fuel Line")

2.Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

3.Remove the engine cover.(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Cover")

4.Disconnect the ignition coil connector (A).

5.Remove the head cover foam (B).

6.Remove the high pressure pump foam (A).

7.Remove the air cleaner assembly.(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")

8.Remove the intercooler inlet hose.(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Intercooler")

9.Loosen the high pressure fuel pipe flange nut (A, B) using the SST (09314-L1100).

Tightening Torque :29.4 - 35.3 N.m (3.0 - 3.6 kgf.m, 21.7 - 26.0 lb-ft)

10.Loosen the function block mounting bolt (A).

Tightening Torque :9.8 - 11.8 N·m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf·m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb·ft)

- Installation

1.Install in the reverse order of removal.

   

• Use the SST (09314-L110) and spaner torque wrench (27mm) to install the high pressure fuel pipe.
