Hyundai Santa Cruz: Hydraulic System / Dual Clutch Transmission Control Fluid

- Components and Components Location

1. Filler plug
2. Filler plug gasket
3. Drain plug gasket
4. Drain plug

• If possible, use a 4-post lift (A) to maintain level.

1.After starting up the engine, drive the vehicle forward/backward more than 1 time.

2.Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air cleaner")

3.Loosen the filler plug (A).

4.Check the fluid level using the tool (A) to the filler plug hole .

• The tool used for checking the fluid level must be at least 125mm long.

Normal: 110 to 120mm from the seating face of the filler plugInsufficient: Re-measure the fluid level while adding suitable amount of fluid (standard amount of additional fluid: 10 cc/mm).

• When amount of fluid is insufficient, add fluid to reach the specified fluid level.

5.Install the filler plug (A) with new gasket (B).

Tightening torque:34.3 - 44.1 N.m(3.5 - 4.5 kgf.m, 25.3 - 35.5 lb-ft)

• The existing gasket (A) must be replaced with a new one. (Do not reuse it.)

6.Install the air cleaner assembly and air duct.(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air cleaner")

• If possible, use a 4-post lift (A) to maintain level.

• Be careful not to damage the parts located under the vehicle (floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank and canister) when raising the vehicle using the lift.(Refer to General Information - "Lift and Support Points")

1.Shut off the engine and wait for at least 5 minutes.

2.Remove the engine room under cover.(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Room Under Cover")

3.Loosen the drain plug (A) and then drain the fluid.

4.Install the drain plug (B) with new gasket (A).

Tightening torque:34.3 - 44.1 N.m (3.5 - 4.5 kgf.m, 25.3 - 35.5 lb-ft)

• The existing gasket (A) must be replaced with a new one. (Do not reuse it.)

5.Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air cleaner")

6.Loosen the filler plug (A).

7.Fill new fluid of 1.8 ~ 1.9ℓ through the filler plug hole (A).

fluid specified: GS WDCTF HD H (WET DCT HYDRAULIC CONTROL OIL)

8.Install the filler plug (A) with new gasket (B).

Tightening torque:34.3 - 44.1 N.m(3.5 - 4.5 kgf.m, 25.3 - 35.5 lb-ft)

• The existing gasket (A) must be replaced with a new one. (Do not reuse it.)

9.Install the air cleaner assembly and air duct.(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air cleaner")

10.Install the engine room under cover.(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Room Under Cover")

11.After starting up the engine, drive the vehicle forward/backward more than 1 time.

12.Add fluid while checking the fluid level.(Hydraulic System - "Dual Clutch Transmission Control Fluid")

13.After changing the control fluid, perform the air bleeding diagnosis and the air bleeding procedure using the diagnostic device.
