• It stores the oil in the accumulator by operating the EOP.

• EOP will stop when a certain level of oil pressure is formed inside the accumulator.

• It controls the shift (gear & clutch) using the oil volume and pressure stored in the accumulator.

• When the oil pressure drops below the certain pressure, the EOP will operate again.

1.Before removing the accumulator, eliminate the line pressure using the diagnositic tool.

2.Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.

3.Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air cleaner")

4.Remove the accumulator (A).

Tightening torque :132.3 - 161.8 N.m (13.5 - 16.5 kgf.m, 97.6 - 119.3 lb-ft)

• Discarding method: Drill the Φ 3mm hole in the hexagon nut (10 to 20 mm from center) to eliminate the gas using the fixed drill (hand drill is prohibited to use).

• Wear protective equipment such as safety glasses and earplugs as metal particles may fly when gas is ejected.

1.To install, reverese the removal proecedures.

2.After installing the accumulator, perform the procedure to release the line pressure elimination mode using the diagnostic tool.
