1.Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
2.Remove the engine cover.(Refer to Engine And Transaxle Assembly - “Engine Cover”)
3.Remove the air duct (A).
4.Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(1)Disconnect the dual purge hose A (A).
(2)Disconnect the dual purge hose B (B).
(3)Disconnect the RCV hose (C).
(4)Disconnect the intake hose (E).
(5)Remove the air cleaner assembly (D).
Tightening torqueHose clamp : 2.9 - 4.9 N.m (0.3 - 0.5 kgf.m, 2.2 - 3.6 lb-ft)Air cleaner bolts : 7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb-ft)
5.Install in the reverse order of removal.
1.Open the air cleaner element cover (A).
2.Release the element's camshaft (A) in the direction of "UNLOCK" and pull the element forward.
3.Replace the air cleaner element (A) with a new one.
• If there is any foreign substance inside the air cleaner assembly, clean the inside and replace the element.
4.Insert the element fully into the inner part of the air cleaner, turn the lever to the "LOCK" position, and close the element cover (A).
