Hyundai Santa Cruz: Lubrication System / Balance Shaft Module

- Removal and installation

1.Remove the oil pan.(Refer to the Lubrication System - "Oil Pan")

2.Remove the timing chain.(Refer to the Timing System - "Timing Chain")

3.Remove the oil pump.(Refer to the Lubrication System - "Oil Pump")

4.Remove the balance shaft assembly chain from the balance shaft assembly sprocket.

5.Remove the balance shaft assembly (A).

6.Install in the reverse order of removal.

   

• When assembling the balance shaft assembly, follow the below order.

(1)Assemble the balance shaft assembly mounting bolts as below order.

Tightening torque :29.4 N.m (3.0 kgf.m, 21.7 lb-ft)

2→6→1→4→3→5

(2)Loosen the balance shaft assembly mounting bolts as below order.5→3→4→1→6→2

(3)Assemble the balance shaft assembly mounting bolts as below order.

Tightening torque: 17.7 - 21.6 N.m + 58 - 62° (1.8 - 2.2 kgf.m + 58 - 62°, 13.0 - 15.9 lb-ft + 58 - 62°)
