Hyundai Santa Cruz: Dual Clutch System / Dual Concentric Slave Cylinder

- Removal

• When lifting by holding the bearing, the bearing (A) will be separated and cannot be reused. (When reassembling the bearing, oil leakage may occur due to the damaged sealing)

• Use the SST when removing/installing and transferring the dual concentric slave cylinder.

Tool Number: 0K430-P2200

• Be careful not to damage the parts located under the vehicle (floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank and canister) when raising the vehicle using the lift.(Refer to General Information - "Lift and Support Points")

1.Remove the dual clutch assembly.(Refer to Dual Clutch System - "Daul Clutch Assembly")

2.Install the special service tool (0K430-P2200) for dual concentric slave cylnder.

3.Remove the dual concentric slave cylinder (A) using a special service tool (0K430-P2200) after loosening the bolts.

Tightening torque :19.6 - 26.5 N.m (2.0 - 2.7kgf.m, 14.4 - 19.5 lb-ft)

1.To install, reverse the removal procedures.

• Before installing, check the state of the O-ring (A) and the sealing (B), then replace them if necessary. (The sealing (B) is an easily deformable material. So, do not reuse the sealing (B) once it is removed from the shaft).

• Replace the snap ring (A) with new one.

• Replace the sealing cover (A) with new one.

• Before installing the sealing cover, apply oil for lubrication/cooling to the inner/outer sealing face (A).

• The dual clutch assembly and the dual concentric slave cylinder must be replaced as a set. (Make sure to check their serial numbers are matched with each other)※ The part numbers of the dual clutch are different depending on the vehicle model. Therefore, when replacing the dual clutch, make sure to check whether the part number is matched with the vehicle specification.- Barcode location (A).

2.Perform the air bleeding procedure using the diagnostic tool.

3.Perform the DCT learning procedure by using the diagnostic tool.
